# Computer Registration

Computer Registration allows vendors to track individual client machines, attach friendly computer names, record operating system metrics, and manage hardware associations from the administrative web panel.

## Overview

When an application registers a client machine, EasyAuth stores the machine's hardware profile (HWID, hostname, OS version, RAM, CPU model) in the backend database. Administrators can inspect device health, view recent active sessions, or revoke specific machines.

## C# Implementation

```csharp
using System;
using qPapelEasyAuth;
public class DeviceRegistration
{
    private const string ApiKey = "pk_00000066_17fb6e089c7300b122454334e672ec24";
    public static void RegisterDevice(string licenseKey)
    {
        string computerName = Environment.MachineName;
        string userName = Environment.UserName;
        string osVersion = Environment.OSVersion.ToString();
        Console.WriteLine($"[*] Registering device '{computerName}' on server...");
        // Native registration call binds machine info to active session
        var result = qPapelEasyAuth.qPapelEasyAuth.RegisterComputer(licenseKey, ApiKey, computerName, userName, osVersion);
        if (result.Success)
        {
            Console.WriteLine("[+] Device registered successfully.");
        }
        else
        {
            Console.WriteLine($"[-] Device Registration Failed: {result.Message}");
        }
    }
}
```

## Telemetry Captured During Registration

| Metric                 | Origin                 | Purpose                                   |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------- |
| `Computer Name`        | Windows Hostname       | Identifying device in admin dashboard.    |
| `User Name`            | Windows Active Account | Auditing operator access.                 |
| `OS Version`           | Kernel Version / Build | Checking compatibility and update status. |
| `Hardware Fingerprint` | Native Engine HWID     | Hardware locking and fraud detection.     |
| `IP Address`           | TCP Socket Peer        | Geographical logging and proxy analysis.  |

{% hint style="info" %}
Device registration occurs automatically during standard `Authenticate()` invocations. Explicit registration calls are useful when updating friendly computer metadata.
